Chris Rivera is starting his 1st year coaching at RBA South. He played his high school ball locally at Meadowbrook High School under former big leaguer Johnny Grubb, where he earned a collegiate pitching job at Virginia Wesleyan College.

Chris’ can be found all over the VWC record books, as he holds the career record for appearances (81) alongside his single-season appearance record (31 in 2006). His 250.1 career innings is the fourth highest in history; his 21-5 career record makes him the 5th VWC player ever to earn 20+ wins, and his .806 winning percentage is the 3rd highest ever at VWC.
Chris then signed a free agent contract with the Washington Wild Things in the Frontier League. He had 2 starts with Washington before he signed a free-agent contract with the Chicago Cubs. In his first professional year, Chris spent the season with the AZL Cubs, throwing 22.2 innings with a 3.57 ERA.
